JAIN UNIVERSITY CAREER
GUIDANCE
On November 12, 2024, JAIN University hosted
an insightful Career Guidance session for Class
12 students, with Mr. Vishal Arora, Associate
Director at JAIN University, serving as the
guest speaker. In his engaging address, Mr.
Arora highlighted a crucial decision that marks
a turning point in every student’s life: the
selection of a college. To assist students in
making an informed choice, he emphasized
five key factors—often referred to as the
"Mantras"—that can guide their decision-
making process when selecting a higher
education institution.
These essential criteria are:
1. NAAC Accreditation: The National
Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC)
is a voluntary body that evaluates and grades
universities across India, ensuring the quality
of education. Institutions are graded on a scale
from A to D, with A++ being the highest grade
awarded. NAAC accreditation guarantees that a
university meets the standards of education
required for academic and professional
growth.
2. NIRF Ranking: The National Institutional
Ranking Framework (NIRF), developed by the
Ministry of Education (MoE), ranks universities
and colleges across India based on various
parameters like teaching quality, research,
infrastructure, and industry integration. A
higher NIRF rank often indicates a university's
reputation and commitment to excellence.
3. NBA Accreditation: The National Board of
Accreditation (NBA) is responsible for
accrediting technical programs such as
engineering and management courses. In
conjunction with NAAC, NBA ensures that
specific academic programs meet the rigorous
standards necessary for delivering quality
education in technical fields.
4. AICTE Approval: The All-India Council for
Technical Education (AICTE) is the sole body
responsible for granting approval to
engineering institutions across India. It is
critical to choose an engineering college that is
AICTE-approved, as any degree obtained from
an unapproved institution may not be legally
valid in India.
5. Integrated Programs: Mr. Arora also shed
light on the importance of integrated
