AL SADU WEAVING

                                                               ACTIVITY

Al Sadu is a traditional form of
     weaving practiced by Bedouin
women in rural communities of the
     Kuwait to produce soft furnishings
     and decorative accessories for
     camels and horses. This craft
     involves the creation of intricately
     woven fabrics using wool, camel
hair, or goat hair, characterized by
     geometric patterns and vibrant
     colors.

The Al Sadu weaving activity class,
held in Kuwait in the month of May
     & June aimed to introduce
     participants to the traditional craft
of Al Sadu weaving. The art
     teachers attended this class. This
     activity was designed to educate
     attendees about the cultural
     significance, techniques, and
     artistic aspects of this ancient
     Bedouin art form. The class
     provided hands- on experience and
     fostered appreciation for the
     culturalheritage of Kuwait.
