BRINGS GLORY TO KUWAIT IN
CBSE EXPRESSION SERIES
Education is not the filling of a pot but the
lighting of a fire.Social media, often seen as a
realm of distraction, has emerged as a
powerful educational tool when harnessed
effectively. Angela Anilson, a Class 9 student
of Indian Learners’ Own Academy, proved this
by showcasing her brilliance in the 2nd CBSE
Expression Series 2024-25. The CBSE
Expression Series is a prestigious platform for
students from classes 1 to 12 classified into
four categories to showcase their creativity,
express ideas, and explore innovation through
essays, poems, and drawings.This series was
conducted in the month of October in two KANGAROO MATHS
levels, the school level and then submitting
the best entry from each category to CBSE. COMPETITION
Competing with around 50 participants from
her school and the other students from
various Indian schools in Kuwait,Angela’s
work stood out, earning her the remarkable
distinction of being the only student in Kuwait
to receive this prestigious prize.
Angela’s thought provoking essay on “The Use
of Social Media as a tool for Learning”
showcased the transformative power of
platforms like YouTube, Instagram and
Twitter in redefining education. The essay
highlighted how these platforms break
traditional boundaries, making learning
accessible, engaging and dynamic, while
empowering students to thrive in a connected
digital world.
Mrs. Asha Sharma, Principal of Indian
Learners’ Own Academy complemented the Aaditya Biju of Class 12 A
student for this meritorious feat. Angela’s
remarkable victory showcases the school’s won first place in Kangaroo
commitment to nurturing talent and Maths Competition.
