                                       International Day of Yoga 2025

In a vibrant prelude to the International Day of
Yoga 2025, Indian Learners’ Own Academy
(ILOA) proudly hosted the Curtain Raiser Event
organized by the Embassy of India, Kuwait, under
the aegis of global initiative led by the Ministry of
          AYUSH, Government of India.
The event was graced by Shri Baija Nath Prasad,
Second Secretary of Education & Culture,
          Embassy of India, Kuwait.
Addressing the gathering, he emphasized the
growing importance of yoga in today’s youth-
centric world, noting its positive impact on
          physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
He also encouraged students to adopt yoga as a
lifestyle choice to combat the ill effects of
sedentary habits and unhealthy food patterns.
The highlight of the event was a live yoga session
conducted by renowned yoga trainer Mr. Jeevan
          Jayadevan.
Students actively participated as they were
introduced to a series of Yogasanas, including
Makarasana, Matsyasana, and others aimed at
          improving posture, flexibility, and focus.
A special emphasis was placed on Pranayama,
          with Mr. Jayadevan demonstrating breathing
techniques while explaining their benefits for
          mental clarity and respiratory health.
The session brought alive the essence of yoga as a
holistic practice that connects the body, mind,
and soul, offering a much-needed pause from the
          fast-paced routines of modern life.
The significance of June 21st as the International
Day of Yoga, officially recognized by the United
Nations, was also highlighted during the program.
The school extended its sincere appreciation to
the Indian Embassy for choosing ILOA as the host
venue. The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote
of thanks to the school management, staff, and
          students for their enthusiastic involvement.
A special word of thanks was extended by Mrs.
Asha Sharma, Principal of Indian Learners’ Own
          Academy, whose visionary leadership and
          unwavering commitment to student wellness
were instrumental in the successful organization
          of the event.
The Curtain Raiser event left a lasting impression,
motivating students and staff alike to embrace
yoga not just as a practice, but as a way of life.
