TRIP TO BOURSA KUWAIT

On 6 of May 2025, the commerce students of
ILOA went on an educational trip to Boursa
Kuwait, located in Kuwait City.
Boursa Kuwait is the operator of the Kuwait
Stock Exchange, the national stock market of
Kuwait. Since being established in 2014, it has
played a crucial role in driving growth and
innovation in the nation’s economy.
This trip was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
The staff at Boursa welcomed the students
warmly, and at first they were taken to an
auditorium. There they told them about the
history of the institution through a video-
showing their establishment, hardships, growth,
and success. They were also given several
complimentary gifts.
Next, they were taken to the magnificent trading
hall where the market index was displayed on
screens; showing the current profit and loss
status of various companies. The enormous
digital screens were filled with numbers and
charts, tracking market fluctuations in real time.
The staff explained the trading process to the
students and classified the doubts in detail. The
students learnt that over 150 companies are listed
in their exchange, and investments are not
limited to just Kuwaiti citizens.
Overall, the visit to Boursa Kuwait was a
wonderful experience. The students gained a lot
of new knowledge, got to see many exciting parts
of financial markets, and had a fun time!
