SPIN A YARN(2025-2026)

The Spin-A-Yarn competition, conducted at ILOA Class Admno Name Position
by the Department of English, was a celebration of 9C 4810 Hanna Rachel Koshy First
storytelling in its most imaginative and expressive 9E 3534 Aleen Mariya Aju Second
form. Held in the school auditorium for students
of Grades IX to XII, the event transformed the 9C 3519 Nivlyn Sera Alex Second
stage into a vibrant arena of voices, creativity, and 9C 3601 Lidiya John Saji Third
boundless imagination.
Designed to encourage originality, enhance 9C 4856 Grace Ranjitkar Third
narrative skills, and foster linguistic excellence, Adhidev Kunnath
the competition offered each participant a 11B 6006 Madhu Consolation
platform to step into the spotlight — not merely as
speakers, but as storytellers of their own 11B 3651 Julia Siby Third
extraordinary journeys. With each class
presenting a distinct theme, the event unfolded as
a tapestry of diverse voices, emotions, and
perspectives:
·Grade IX delved into “The Elevator That Only
Went to Imaginary Floors”, transporting the
audience into magical worlds where the
impossible became hilariously believable.
·Grade X reflected deeply on “The Time I Realized
That Failure Was My Greatest Teacher”, with
stories that resonated with resilience, self-
discovery, and the hidden wisdom of setbacks.
·Grade XI explored “What Happened When I Tried
to Rewrite a Chapter of My Life”, presenting
moving tales of second chances, growth, and the
courage to begin again.
·Grade XII brought a humorous twist with “The
Last Benchers’ Secret to Academic Survival”,
proving that laughter and intelligence often share
the same bench at the back of the classroom.
Each participant captivated the audience with
their confidence, expression, and command over
language. The stories were evaluated based on
content, creativity, coherence, pronunciation,
presentation, and overall impact — criteria that
ensured a fair and holistic assessment.
The audience remained thoroughly engaged,
journeying alongside the speakers through realms
both real and imagined. Laughter, reflection, and
admiration echoed through the auditorium,
making it an unforgettable experience for all.
In conclusion, the Spin-A-Yarn competition was
more than just a contest — it was a celebration of
voices, visions, and the infinite power of stories. It
stood as a shining example of ILOA’s commitment
to nurturing articulate, confident, and creative
individuals who dare to imagine big and tell their
own stories.
